I have been in the insurance industry for 47 years, being in senior management positions for 18 years.

Since January 2005 I have been running my own insurance and business consultancy practice and published my first book “Life is Leadership” in 2009.

I am a mentor on our local business community, with a desire to serve and support those who need it.

I am an Associate of the Insurance Institute of New Zealand (AIINZ), hold professional memberships to the Institute of Directors, the NZ Institute of Management (MNZIM) and am a Past President of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce, having served on the board for 6 years.

I have had contracts with NZ Police & Housing Corporation NZ through Business Development Company.  I have also served on the local Boards of the Arthritis Foundation for 6 years plus the national board of Arthritis NZ for two years. I am a member of both Institute of Directors, NZ Institute of Management, Rotary and participate in leadership roles at my church.

As a Senior Associate of The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), I have extensive knowledge in business and the insurance industry.

I have underwritten on a national level, and had key roles in claims, client management and broker liaison.

I am a really hands-on person, and I just love the direct communication with clients; helping to make any process easier, be it a claim or a new policy.

In my spare time, I try out all kinds of baking and my hobbies are Zumba and Aqua Fitness.
